Vertidraining
Vertidrain is a vital aspect of annual pitch maintenance. It is used to aerate the soil without interfering with play. Aeration of the soil helps ensure a healthy turf and is always part of a pitch maintenance programme. We have been involved in pitch maintenance in the Kildare, Dublin and Meath area for the past 10 years and have worked with many of the club. Please see our home page for details of clubs Benefits to the turf |

Hollow Coring
Hollow coring is the process of removing a ‘plug’ or ‘core’ from the playing surface to help aerate the surface. Subsequent top dressing with sand helps to change the soil profile. Hollow coring is used primarily on sand based surfaces to help breakdown the ‘thatch layer’. It also encourages gas exchange within the root zone, giving a better, healthier root system. The main advantage of hollow coring is that the core of soil is removed out without causing any compression of the root zone. |
